The school year is almost over, which brings us to summer once again. This year there will be a variety of new projects and reconstruction going on for our school over the break.
According to Mr. West, Director of Secondary Education, the first project is going to begin with changing the lockers. The lockers are going to be orange and black and will be wider than the current ones we have now.
Another project includes the replacement of the water lines. What this means is that it will affect the flow of water and for some periods of time some areas in the school will not have water. This happens in the crawl spaces, so it will most likely be started at the end of the school year.
Something new as well is in the Old West Gym: the ceilings and the hallways will be painted, along with the parking lots being milled, paved, and re-striped.
The science rooms will also be renovated, such as Mrs. Jackman’s room. Jackman said, “It’s going to take some time to get used to because it’s going to be different, but I wish I could keep it the way it is.”
Mr. West also said there will potentially be a fourth phase of renovations coming in the summer of 2026 depending on funding.
