PA Business Week 2026 at Corry High School was from Monday, April 13 through Friday, April 17.
Throughout the week, students were split up into their industries, and all went head to head to be the best company they could be. They heard from a number of presenters and all competed head to head in several competitions.
These competitions were the Trade Show competition, which took place on Thursday night, April 16. Teams had to create the best display for their product and create the most impressive sales pitch which would hopefully win over the judges hearts.
On Friday April 17, the other three competitions took place:
The Marketing and Advertising competition was when teams had to present their marketing strategies an come up with a commercial in which four judges would determining which marketing presentation was the best.
The next competition was the Stockholders presentation. This was where the CFO and all the finance people on the team had to explain their findings with RONA (Return on Net Assests) and how good the company was doing financially.
The final competition was the RONA competition. This was throughout the week, and the overall goal of this competition was to have your company have the best RONA score.
Points were distributed to teams after every competition, and by the end the goal was to have the most points and be recognized as top company. The winning prize was $100 to each team member. Every team has approximately 15 members, along with a teacher and and advisor.
Team A1, or Echo, took the name of Top Company this year. Even though money was on the line, students got the opportunity to work with individuals that are very diverse. This week encouraged real world skills, and students had to use them in order to succeed.
