Kendrick Lamar breaks record with Super Bowl halftime show

We just witnessed the Super Bowl between the Chiefs and Eagles, and it was a page-turner for sure. The halftime show included Kendrick Lamar and SZA. Both Grammy winners sang with great passion.

Kendrick Lamar broke the record for most watched Super Bowl of all time, surpassing Michael Jackson from his record with 133.4 million viewers to 133.5 million. Also, overall viewership went up 3% from last year as well from 123.7 million last year to 127.7 million this year. I would rate the halftime show a 3.5 or 4 out of 5 because I was hoping for something more, but maybe that was just me. It also included the presence of Serena Williams dancing and performing with him, which was a surprise to many.

The set-list of songs include

  • Squabble Up
  • HUMBLE
  • DNA
  • Euphoria
  • Man at the garden
  • Peekaboo
  • Luther
  • All the stars
  • Not like us
  • Tv off

While performing each song, I felt as if he was trying to portray different stories or have a meaning to each song they sang. It could have been a little confusing to some watchers because they may not have understood what the background information was.

I liked the idea of all the dancers making a flag, which was fun to see them unite. Compared to last year, I definitely think Usher was better, and the year before with Rihanna were both nostalgic to listen to and both gave a grander performance worth watching.

Ultimately, they are all very skilled singers with great personalities and it gave such a fun time watching it even more because you get to sing and dance along to the beats.

GO EAGLES!
