I saw Kid Cudi at Blossom Music Center on Friday, May 15, and it was honestly such an unforgettable experience.
We had pit tickets, and even though we didn’t arrive until around 7:30 p.m., we still managed to get only three rows back from the barricade. I was shocked at how close we were, especially considering there were already two openers before Cudi came on. The atmosphere in the pit was energetic the entire night, and everyone around us seemed excited to be there.
Kid Cudi came out around 9:30 p.m. and he had a 90 minute set. The second he stepped on stage, the crowd exploded. He played all of his biggest hits, but he also included older songs and deep cuts that longtime fans were excited to hear. His stage presence was amazing, and he sounded incredible live.
Because Cudi is originally from Cleveland, you could tell this show meant a lot to him. He talked about how the very first concert he ever attended was actually at Blossom, which made the night feel like a full circle moment for him. He also shouted out his family members who were there in the audience, which was really cool. You could tell he had a real connection to both the venue and the crowd.
After the concert ended, the only downside was the traffic. Leaving the parking lot was a nightmare. It took us two hours just to get out of the front lot.
Even though the traffic was annoying, it didn’t take away from how great the night was overall. The crowd was fun, the energy was amazing, and Kid Cudi delivered a memorable performance. It was definitely one of the best concerts I’ve been to.
