“The Forge” follows the story of a 19-year-old boy named Isaiah as he transforms his life through Christ.
At the beginning of the movie, Isaiah is a lazy and irresponsible teen who spends all of his time playing video games. Isaiah’s mom starts praying for him and asks others to join her. Isaiah ends up getting a job with a really good manager who helps him find the Lord and completely change his life for the better.
Overall, I thought the movie was really good. Some of the main actors/actresses are: Aspen Kennedy (Isaiah Wright), Priscilla Shirer (Cynthia and Elizabeth Jordan), Cameron Arnett (Joshua Moore), Karen Abercrombie (Miss Clara), Jerry Shirer (Vaughn), Benjamin Watson (Benjamin), T.C. Stallings (Tony Jordan), Ken Bevel (James), BJ Arnett (Janelle Moore), and Tommy Woodard (Bobby). I thought they were all cast really well and all of the actors and actresses did a great job playing their roles.
I felt like the movie was motivational in a way. Isaiah goes from sitting in his room all day doing nothing but playing video games, to completely giving them up and committing his whole life to Jesus. Even though many people, including myself, can not relate to the video games part of the movie, viewers can think about things that they personally idolize or put before God, or things that are holding them back from keeping God as the center of their life, and strive to prioritize their relationship with God over those things or even give them up to focus on Jesus, just like Isaiah did.
I would give the movie 5/5 stars because it was overall a really good movie with a very powerful message that I hope can inspire many others.
