After many years of being separated, the Gallagher brothers united again for one final tour. Oasis Live ’25 was the second highest grossing tour of 2025, and had 3 million attendees. I had the opportunity to see them in Chicago on August 28, 2025, and it was one of the best concerts I’ve seen.
Cage the Elephant opened for the brothers and it could not have been a more perfect intro. Their energy completely hyped up the crowd and seamlessly passed the show onto Oasis.
When Liam and Noel walked onto the stage, the crowd erupted into cheers. Middle-aged men cried for their younger selves who listened to “What’s The Story Morning Glory” on their Walkmans, and friends who flew in from England embraced each other.
Listening to their top hits on Apple Music could never compare to hearing my favorite songs live. Hearing Liam shake his tambourine right in front of me was euphoric, and something that I will never forget. Overall, the concert was phenomenal, but the only fault was the lack of energy. To cut the Gallaghers some slack, they are 60, but they did not move around the stage much. They kept near the microphones and stayed stationary, but honestly all the other elements of the experience made up for it.
It was one of the best concerts I have ever been to: the people I met were amazing, and for as old as they are, Oasis sounded exactly like they did in the ’90s. I would see them again in a heartbeat and I understand why Oasis Live ’25 was so successful.
