On a cold October night, fans all over the world were waiting. Not for Halloween, but for Kodak Black’s new album.
This is the first album Kodak has put out since his hit album “Gift for the Streets,” featuring songs like “KTB Freestyle” and “[Expletive Deleted] Show.”
“Just Getting Started” is a project by Kodak Black that at first does not seem to have a purpose, but under further examination it is a look into Kodak’s life. The messy project shows the struggle of drugs, money, and love that Kodak has been publicly seen struggling with. He opens up in multiple songs like “No Flaggin’,” admitting that he struggles with drug abuse and feels like a bad father for it.
All 20 tracks on this album are not for everyone, but a deep understanding of the art shows its true colors. This album has many beautiful tracks and some great features from big artists.
I would rate it a 3/5 stars.
