“Skate.” is a new game that was just released September 16 on all consoles. It is the fourth game in the franchise, being the most up-to-date game of them all. “Skate.” is a free roam game where you can skateboard around the map, completing challenges, changing your outfit, or just skating around!
The skate mechanics are the most efficient out of the games, with new board grabs, new grinding mechanics. It’s still incomplete, meaning it’s still updating and getting better every time! The free roam is always fun, with a large variety of jumps to hit and tricks to land. The challenges are from a difficulty from easy to hard, making the game more competitive if needed, or you can just skate around and have a good time without any challenge.
“Skate.” is free, meaning you can download it on PlayStation, Xbox and PC. It’s free because the game isn’t finished, meaning it will eventually have a price. It also has a music selection, so if you want to listen to music while you play, you can. The music selection is a decent bunch, with a couple of hit songs and custom songs made for the game itself.
“Skate.” also has a good selection of missions, with a good plot. In “Skate 3” you were taught by Coach Frank, a pro skater with an attitude. In “Skate.” you are taught the basics by a girl named Kari, another pro skater with less of an attitude and with help from Vee, a robot who knows every trick, every place to hit those tricks.
Overall “Skate.” is a fun game that I recommend to video game players across the globe. I would rate this game 4/5 stars.
