Taylor takes on Tokyo

Taylor+takes+on+Tokyo

Taylor Swift is kicking off 2024 with more of the international leg of “The Eras Tour” starting today with her short residency in Tokyo.

One of the most famous parts of her recent concerts have been the surprise song section of the show. Towards the end of her set, she always performs two new and different “surprise songs” at every show which are just two random songs that nobody knows until she starts playing/singing them. Throughout her tour in 2023 she played almost all of her songs as surprise songs, but announced that for 2024 the surprise song list will reset, meaning all songs are fair game now. This has fans excited that they have chances of getting one of their favorite songs.

Personally, anytime I would see her perform one of my favorite songs before my concert in June 2023, my heart would break because then I knew that song was not a possibility for my show.

Fans are speculating if the set list will switch up, or what the new year will bring with The Eras tour. Will her costuming change, will the choreography be different, will she include some of her “Speak Now Taylor’s Version” or “1989 Taylor’s Version” recently released vault tracks in her lineup?

Also, will she leave Tokyo for a short break this Sunday to appear at the Super Bowl to support her tight end boyfriend Travis Kelce? No one knows, but all will be revealed shortly.

I am especially excited to see how the concerts begin to unfold because I will be traveling to Toronto, Canada to see her again this upcoming November. All I can do is hope for a great set list and hope my favorite songs don’t get used as surprise songs until then!
