Corry students from the Newspaper and Global Media classes were invited to Gannon’s Media Arts Expo Day on Friday, March 20. This expo was to teach media arts students a little bit more about the field.
Sessions students attended included:
- Recording a Podcast: A Crash Course in 3 Parts
- Advertising/PR
- Talent and Tech: Producing On-Air Content
- Film Improv: When to adapt and Modify an Audition
- Commercial Product Video Basics
- Journalism
- Campus Tours
- Puppet Warping in Photoshop
- Media Case Study
- Film/Music (Music in Jurassic Park, Lord of The Rings and Wall-E)
Students left the high school around 7:20 A.M. and got to the college around 8:20 A.M. Before checking in, the Corry students were warmly welcomed by Gannon’s president Dr. Walter Iwanenko Jr.
Sessions started at 9:10 A.M. and lasted until 12:00 P.M., when the students were dismissed to lunch in the dining hall at Gannon.
Students departed the college at 1:40 and got back to school at 2:20, leaving plenty of time left in the day to get settled in until the end of the day.
