Wing Stop opens in Erie

Erie buzzed with excitement as Wing Stop landed on Peach Street in late December, 2025.

Wing Stop brings the national chicken wing flavors to the local scene, sparking queues and debates between chain foods and supporters of local wing spots. With plans of a second location in Harbor Creek also in the works, making a new chapter for Erie’s diverse food landscape.

The arrival of the Texas-based chain ignited discussion among Erie residents, with some of them embracing the new flavors and variety while others championed the established local wing joints like Lucky Man’s and Odis12, creating a friendly food rivalry.

A second Wing Stop is slated for Harbor Creek township at 4474 Buffalo Road. It will be in the plaza that once housed Price Rite, with zoning permits already issued in August 2025.

Customers were keen to try the 15 signature flavors, from dry rubs to bold sauces, creating a new option alongside local favorites. The new restaurants were expected to add to the economic vibrancy of Erie County, even as debates continued about supporting local versus national brands.

The opening of Wing Stop marked a significant moment for Erie, proving that while local spots hold a special place, there’s always room for new flavors and exciting experiences.
