Opening day for the Peek’n Peak hills is on November 26. This is exciting to many that love to participate in winter sports.
The Peek’n Peak Resort, located in Clymer, NY, is a popular destination for a variety of activities throughout the year. However, it’s primarily known for its winter activities including: skiing, snowboarding, and tubing.
Little John’s Jaunt (or bunny hill), Alan-A-Dale, Long Bow, and Will O’ The Wisp are the hills that most expect to be opened first. As the Peak continues to have more snow, more hills will open. The Peak opens at 9:30 a.m. and the close time is different each day.
The resort offers around 26–27 groomed slopes/trails serviced by roughly eight chairlifts, terrain parks for freestyle, a “Snowsports School,” providing lessons for kids and beginners, and ski/snowboard rentals.
Many people anticipate the opening day for the winter ski season at the Peek, due to the thrill of the slopes and the beautiful scenery that the resort presents. It is important to make sure that you have a pass and the proper gear prior to opening day.
As of the 2024 season, the Peek’n Peak has transferred to RFID cards, which contain a chip that is used for all lift access, including day tickets and season passes that are loaded onto the card itself. Prior to opening day, season passes can be picked up in the Annex Office, or they can be picked up from a kiosk upon arrival. Have fun out there!
