Beginning on October 20, at precisely 3:11 A.M., a sudden shutdown of Internet apps and services occurred, mainly around Amazon Web Services including Alexa products, Disney +, Hulu, several streaming services, and many others.
In addition, also effected were console games like Fortnite, Roblox, and Clash Royale, as well as Snapchat, Facebook, Life360, ChatGPT, Playstation/Sony, Reddit, Zoom, and hundreds of others
Amazon has said that they are “investigating increased error rates.” They have slowly been fixing the issues, moving forward one app at a time.
At the time of this article, most of the problems have been resolved, but the company continues to build upon the issue and quickly get it resolved.
Amazon is not sure how the occurrence has happened, but there are possibilities of maintenance issues, server failures, or even human error.
