Manufacturing Enterprise is a new class for students who want to get a real world feel about running a business. They get to learn about the process of starting a business, creating a product, and getting the product made

When speaking to the CEOs of the business about their roles, Charly Amburgy said her job is “Just working with her designated group,” and Sylas said his is “being all over the place, pitching in what I can do for the class.”

The company, Beaver Precision Works, explained what they do and why they are important to the school. The teachers of the class, Mrs. Toplovich and Mr. Carey, say the objective of the class is to get students in a “real life experience” of running a business.

The business is made possible by Erie: NWIRC, who helped the school kick start the business. The class is important to the school because it allows students to enter the work force with more knowledge and allows them to be more employable.

The business class also works with the tech classes on projects with the machining, welding, woodworking, and graphic design classes all helping with projects.

They are a manufacturing business, so companies will ask them to make a product, and then the business will make it. Machining, welding and woodworking are all working on products the business can sell, and the graphic design class helped design the logo for the business.
