On Friday, May 5, at 7:00 p.m., the Corry theater department will be opening their production of “Les Miserables.” A second showing will follow on Saturday, May 6, at 7:00 p.m.

“Les Miserables” is a long-running show based on the 1862 novel of the same name by Victor Hugo. The show follows the story of Jean Val Jean (played by Austin Nickerson) as he struggles to live through revolution and heartache.

“Les Miserables” features a broad cast of characters, like the fearsome Javert (Hunter LaSalvia), sympathetic Eponine (Ryah Lambert), and the obnoxious Thenardiers (Cooper Slocum and Angelica Cressley). Anyone who enjoys drama, action, or romance should attend!
