Aries (Mar 21- Apr 19)

Aries are most similar to Benoit Blanc from the “Knives Out” film series. Blanc is a charming, eccentric, and unconventional investigator. In true Aries fashion, he is confident, domineering, and very passionate about what he does. Like an Aries, he will do whatever it takes to reach a goal, often baffling those around him with out-of-the-box thinking.

Taurus (Apr 20- May 20)

The pop culture detective who reminds me of a Taurus the most is “Scooby Doo’s” Velma Dinkley. Velma is undeniably the backbone of Mystery Inc. She is intelligent, determined, and stubborn just like the bullheaded Taurus. Both of these personas are down-to-earth, but have high standards.

Gemini (May 21- Jun 21)

Gemini shares an egocentric, fun-loving, and social personality with Inspector Closeau from the “Pink Panther” franchise. This sassy French detective is not very good at his job, and like Geminis, often values his free time and “frivolous” interests over mundane work.

Cancer (Jun 21- Jul 22)

Cancer’s sleuth counterpart is Inspector Gadget, the protagonist of the show “Inspector Gadget.” Although Gadget is a detective, he isn’t exactly intellectual. He’s known to be kind and heroic, but also a little emotional and clueless. In comparison, Cancers are often stereotyped as the most emotion-driven sign.

Leo (Jul 23- Aug 22)

A lesser known but still awesome detective, Detective Chimp from DC comics has an intellect that surpasses even Batman. Just like this primate private eye, Leos are confident, driven, and luxurious. In classic Leo fashion, Detective Chimp takes no nonsense and knows his worth.

Virgo (Aug 23- Sep 22)

Another famous literary detective, Nancy Drew is a smart, reliable, and resourceful teenage sleuth. Just like a Virgo, Nancy is a critical thinker with an organized mind and a big heart. Virgos maintain an impressive balance of logic and compassion that Drew also exhibits.

Libra (Sep 22- Oct 23)

Libras will associate most with Jack Reacher from the “Jack Reacher” book series by Lee Child. Reacher is described as a tough, intimidating guy who is charming and social. Like Reacher, Libras are a bit tough on the outside, but very emotional and affectionate inside.

Scorpio (Oct 23- Nov 21)

The one and only Batman. Considered the world’s greatest detective within the DC universe, Batman’s investigative skills are even sharper than his crime fighting. Scorpios, like Batman, often get a bad rep for being mysterious, elusive, and cold. But the sign is also known to be brave, loyal, and ambitious, just like Bruce Wayne and his caped counterpart.

Sagittarius (Nov 22- Dec 21)

Sagittarius is unique, because their detective counterpart is actually two people. The Hardy Boys, brothers Frank and Joe, are mystery solving youths often seen alongside Nancy Drew. The brothers are intelligent and good humored, always up for an adventure. Sagittarius mirrors this, often fancying themselves a hero or explorer of some kind. Both the Hardy Boys and Sagittariuses are kind and fun-loving.

Capricorn (Dec 22- Jan 19)

Sherlock Holmes is often regarded as the most iconic detective. Since his inception in 1892, he has had several books, films, and shows made about his crime solving escapades. While Holmes is undeniably brilliant, he is also presented as logical analytical, and a perfectionist. This mirrors the Capricorn archetype to a T: a sign widely known as overachievers.

Aquarius (Jan 20- Feb 19)

Aquarius’ detective counterpart is Columbo from the television series “Columbo.” Both have sharp wit, strong sense of independence, and creativity. Columbo is undeniably brilliant, but a little off-putting. This is something Aquarians might relate to, as they are often viewed as too eccentric or intense for those around them.

Pisces (Feb 19-Mar 20)

Pisces, you are most similar to Enola Holmes, the younger sister of the famous Sherlock. Although Enola is younger, she can certainly hold her own against her brother although she approaches mysteries in a different way. Where Sherlock is logical and by-the-book, Enola is more fun loving, quirky, and creative.
