End of senior year - thoughts from 3 graduating seniors

As the school year closes, and the seniors prepare to graduate, they are ready to move on to their future but sad to leave good memories behind. Seniors are excited for the upcoming event: Senior picnic, Honor banquet, Baccalaureate, and most importantly Graduation. Three of Corry’s seniors (Brynley Watrous, Maddie Goodwill, and Bailee McCray) are excited to see what their futures hold and took the opportunity to interview each other for one last story

Brynley Watrous plans on attending Mercyhurst University to continue her athletic career running track and field, and she will be majoring in nursing.

Brynley said, “While it was difficult choosing a school, I am confident that my decision will give me the right balance between my education and athletics.”

If Brynley had to give advice to an underclassmen, her advice would be, “High school is a short part of your life growing up, so make sure to live in the moment and enjoy the time with your friends.” Brynley said her favorite high school memory was her senior prom and spending time with friends.

Maddie Goodwill plans on attending the University of Pittsburgh to major in Civil Engineering.

Maddie Stated, “I am excited to be in the city and continue my education by appreciating every opportunity I’m given.”

If Maddie had to give advice to an underclassmen, her advice would be, “enjoy everything with your friends and make the most out of everything before you graduate, but also work hard towards your future goals.” Maddie said her favorite high school memory was all the senior events with her friends and especially senior prom.

Bailee McCray plans on attending Penn State University, majoring in biology on the pre-med track to get prepared for med school. With this degree, she plans on pursuing a career in dermatology.

Bailee said, “As much as I love being with all my friends every day, I am super excited to go to Penn State and meet new people.”

If Bailee had to give advice to underclassmen, her advice would be, “Don’t take everything so seriously. Focus on having fun in the moment.” Bailee said her favorite high school memories were late night drives and “study” sessions with her friends.
