This weekend, I ran the 100-meter dash in 11.62 seconds. It was one of my best races of the season. That time was fast enough for me to qualify for districts. I felt good about how I came out of the blocks and finished strong. It showed all my hard work paying off.
In the 200-meter dash, I ran 23.75 seconds. I pushed hard on the curve and kept my speed down the straightaway. Even though it was tiring, I didn’t slow down at the end. That time was also a personal best for me. It earned me another spot at districts.
In the long jump, I jumped 20 feet. My steps on the runway felt really smooth and controlled. I got a solid takeoff and landed as far as I could. When the measurement was called, I was happy with the result. That jump also qualified me for districts.
