“Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” is coming to Corry on May 1 and May 2 under the direction of Ms. Britten and Mrs. Smrcka.
The Narrators are played by Clara Harrington and Ava Wetherbee. When Ava was asked if she was looking forward to the show, she said, “Yeah, it’ll be fun.” In addition, she was asked if she was happy about the role she got, she said, “Yeah, it’s super exciting. I’m looking forward to telling a little story.”
Joseph is played by Landon Hasbrouck. When Landon was asked if he was looking forward to the show, he said, “Of course I am. This is my last one.” In addition, he was asked if he was happy about the character he got, he said, “I’m beyond happy.”
Pharaoh is played by Luca Proy. When Luca was asked if he was looking forward to the show, he said, “I am stoked about the show.” In addition, he was asked if he was happy about playing the Pharaoh, he said, “Yeah, it’s a surprise but yeah, I am.”
The story of this musical is based on the story of Joseph from the Book of Genesis. Joseph is gifted a vibrant coat. His 11 brothers sell him into slavery in Egypt because they were jealous of his prophetic dreams. Joseph covercomes imprisonment by interpreting dreams and he rises to become the Pharaoh’s right-hand man and eventually reconciles with his family.
