This past summer, I took a trip to Florida for a 4-day volleyball tournament for nationals. While we were there we faced hard competition and ended up finishing 35th out of 163 teams, just a couple points from being in the top 16.

We played teams from Charlotte, North Carolina, Maryland, West Virginia, Florida, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, and more. After the tournament we made it into a vacation. We stayed in Florida for a total of seven days. For four of the days we spent playing volleyball, and three days enjoying our vacation.

While I was there, I did many fun things on the first couple nights including shopping, going to Disney Springs, and Old Town Disney. When visiting Disney Springs, I went to Ron Jon Surf Shop and bought souvenirs for my family and friends. I also bought a hoodie and shirt for myself. Old Town Disney had many shops, mostly filled with clothes and jewelry.

The night before the tournament the whole team and I went to dinner. We went to Tu Tu Tango Cafe, a restaurant. The resort we stayed at had many fun things to do. We spent most of our time at the pool.

To occupy ourselves for the last couple days we went on a trip to the beach because of how hot it was. The beach we visited was Cocoa Beach. It was very pretty and the area was nice. After the beach I went and got ice cream and headed to the air boat. While on the air boat I  saw many alligators and cattle– I had a lot of fun.

Overall, I enjoyed my vacation and hope to go back again.
