Currently working at Little Caesars and have been for 2 years and a half and I wanted to share when I first started, my favorite moments, and the struggles of working, but still in school.
I first started when I was sixteen years old. I was nervous but excited because it was my first ever job besides volunteering. I got my working papers and it was official that I was a part-time worker. I met a lot of good people who work there who left for better things, which I still miss dearly. I remember my first day very well going in on a Friday, the busiest night because the manager wanted to test my abilities and I did great. I remember going home and telling my family on how pizza was made from scratch and all the secrets in there. It was really cool.
Now that it has been a year passed, both of my sisters also started working there and that was one of my favorite moments because I get to work with my twin. At first, it was a little hard because I am not good at working with newbies. Thank goodness she learned fast. My favorite moments working there are doing secret Santa, Christmas bonus, getting paid, and leaving early.
Since I have been working there for a while I had to learn first hand how to manage my time and make time for studying and make sure I don’t fall behind in school. If you get a job, I am not saying it is going to be easy the whole time because you will get flooded with work, and I learned how to prioritize what needs to be done. I like the idea of working because I feel accomplished and getting rewarded with my hard work.
