I always find it interesting to see and learn about what went on the year I was born. I was born in 2009. I went and looked back at some of the shows and movies made in 2009, and there were quite a few good ones. There is my top 10 movies from the year I was born:
Honorable mentions: Avatar, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Princess Protection Program, Barbie and the Three Musketeers, and Up
10. The Proposal- This movie is very funny and entertaining. I remember watching this when I was younger and I really liked it.
9. Modern Family- I have only watched a few episodes from the first season but I thought they were interesting and fun.
8. The Blind Side- The Blind Side is such a great movie. The story is so inspirational and revolutionary.
7. Hannah Montana The Movie- I love this movie. It really captures the whole vibe of 2009. It has an interesting story and they even have a special appearance by Taylor Swift.
6. Glee- Glee is one of those shows that reminds you of a trainwreck. You know it’s terrible, but you just can’t look away. There are some unbelievable plots that are crazy, yet funny.
5. Coraline- I love this movie so much. Say what you will about the animation in 2009, but I love the way Coraline was animated, and I wouldn’t change a thing.
4. The Princess and the Frog- This Disney movie is so good. It’s such an entertaining movie and is unlike the princess movies before. It is such a beautiful, enchanting film.
3. The Hangover- I only watched The Hangover recently, but I think it is so funny.
2. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince- This movie is where the series really takes a dark turn because the movie before it, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, introduces the darkness, but the Half Blood Prince is where it takes over. It is not my favorite movie in the series, but it is important in the storyline.
1.Twilight New Moon- This is one of my favorite movies ever. I love the book, and seeing is portrayed in the movie just makes the New Moon experience even better. It is my favorite movie in the series, and I’m proud to be from the same year this movie was released.
