On February 28, 2025, Corry Elementary schools will be participating in a Read Across Corry Day. The reason they do this is to celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday, which is March 2. The students will get a breakfast of green eggs and ham.
In the morning, they will be told to go to certain classes and get to do a bunch of Dr. Seuss-themed activities. At CAIS the parents are allowed to join their children from around 12:30 and 2:00. The students will read Dr. Seuss books, do activities, and much more!
I remember when I got to participate in Read Across Corry Day. I got to bring in a pillow, blanket, and my own books to read. We could have our parents come in and read to us, or we could read with friends. We did many different activities, which I don’t remember the kinds of activities I did, but I enjoyed getting to participate. I remember getting to lay down, and I would end up falling asleep, while I read my books. If I was able to participate in Read Across Corry Day again, I would do it in a heartbeat.
