In the summer of 2019, I took a trip to California, a place I had always wanted to visit. I had heard so much about its beaches, mountains, and cities, and now it was my turn to see it all for myself.
I landed at Los Angeles International Airport on a sunny morning. My first stop was Venice Beach, a famous spot I had seen in movies. As I walked along the boardwalk, I saw people skating, playing music, and selling artwork. The salty air from the ocean made everything feel alive. I spent hours there, watching the waves crash on the shore and the lively crowd around me.
A few days later, I drove along the Pacific Coast Highway, which runs right along the ocean. The views were breathtaking. On one side, there were cliffs and mountains, and on the other, the vast blue ocean. I stopped at Santa Barbara. One of the most amazing sights was McWay Falls, where a waterfall drops right into the ocean.
Next, I headed to San Francisco. As I drove across the Golden Gate Bridge, the fog rolled in, covering the top of the bridge. I spent the day exploring the city, riding the cable cars up the steep hills and walking through Fisherman’s Wharf, where I tried clam chowder in a bread bowl. The city had a special feeling, with its mix of history, culture, and stunning views at every turn.
But the highlight of my trip was Yosemite National Park. After a long drive, I arrived and was instantly amazed by the towering mountains and giant trees. I hiked to Glacier Point, where I could see the whole valley below with Half Dome in the distance. The view was so beautiful that it almost felt unreal.
California was everything I had hoped for and more. The trip wasn’t just about seeing famous sights; it was about experiencing the special moments, like watching the sunset over the ocean or meeting a local artist in a small town. By the end of my trip, California had become a place I would never forget, full of memories I will cherish forever.
