My Top 10 favorite flowers

My+Top+10+favorite+flowers

Flowers have many symbolic meanings to different people around the world. In life flowers tend to symbolize peace and love. Many use flowers to appreciate their loved ones, while others use them to show their love for nature. These are 10 of my favorite flowers that make me appreciate nature:

1. Lotus – These flowers are also associated closely with water lilies. They have a very unique life cycle. Its roots are submerged into water at night and then it opens when it is morning.

2. Baby breaths – Pink baby breaths specifically are my favorite. In total there are over 35 different species of baby breaths. The flower is used to symbolize purity and innocence.

3. Rose – Roses are used for many different occasions, and it tends to be people’s go-to flower. They grow with thorns on the sides of the stem to protect themselves from predators.

4. Dahlia – This flower is native to Mexico and Central America. It is best recommended to plant them early April. The flower like most, comes in a plethora of colors and sizes.

5. Azalea – These flowers are specially bred. They are able to survive for a few weeks. They prefer to be planted in shaded areas, like under trees.

6. Daffodil – Rebirth and new beginning is what symbolizes the daffodil best. These flowers are yellow and white, and they have a lifespan of six weeks, while only blooming once a year.

7. Carnation – Carnations tend to be one of the better smelling flowers. There is not an exact amount of species because we have been discovering and learning more over the last 2,000 years.

8. Daisy – The name daisy commonly denotes the oxeye daisy. Daisy to me symbolizes childhood, because when I was younger they would cover my back yard. The flowers come in a different variety of colors.

9. Tulips – Tulips bloom at the end of March. Out of all of the spring flowers, tulips have a rightful spot as the most colorful of the season. Tulips also continue growing after their stems are cut.

10. Sunflower – Sunflowers can grow up to 15 feet tall. They symbolize happiness and joy. The sunflower also tracks back to the past and how they were used to heal people. Along with that sunflowers are able to track the sun by themselves.
