The “Boy of the Month” for February is John Styborski. John is an indoor and outdoor track and field athlete. He is a member of the National Honors Society, and is a student ambassador here at Corry High.

I started off by asking John what his initial reaction was when he found out he was chosen and he answered with “I was actually surprised. I didn’t think that I would be chosen to be one of the boys of the month.”

I then asked why John thinks that he was chosen, he then replied with, “I was probably chosen because I am doing all right in track right now, and I am also a National Honors Society member, plus a student ambassador.”

Every month there is a boy nominated to be the “Boy of the Month” in Corry that is featured in the Corry Journal. The boy is chosen by a committee of  high school staff members and is honored by the Corry Rotary Club.
