“The California Christmas” is about a playboy who poses as a rancher named Manny. Manny didn’t know anything about a farm because he’s never had to work, meaning he is a wealthy guy from the city. Manny’s objective is to get Callie (who got the farm passed down to her from her parents) to sell her family’s land for a business deal. Callie doesn’t want to sell her land even though her and her family are in a bit of a struggle due to her mom having cancer.
Callie’s mom has been battling cancer for a long time and she always told Callie that she doesn’t have to get her medical treatment because they have no insurance. It’s been a long road for them because Callie also has to take care of her younger sister, plus she is taking care of her mother. Her younger sister Hannah also plays a big role on the farm with helping and taking care of the animals so her sister has less stress on her. But Manny on the other hand doesn’t make things easy because she thought that she was hiring someone that has been on a farm and to know what the work is like.
I recommend this movie to anyone who likes romance and a little bit of comedy. I would also recommend this movie to anyone from 12 and up because it’s hard to understand because it’s more of an older kid movie. I liked this movie a ton and highly recommend watching boallth of the California Christmas movies, but you must watch the first one to understand the series.
