Mr. McGonigle is a new teacher here in Corry. He is teaching tech ed, and the reason he got into teaching is because of his high school tech ed teacher.
He was born on December 19 and grew up in Apollo, PA, with his one younger brother. For school he went to Apollo-Ridge High School. Furthering his education he went to Westmoreland County Community College. He also attended the California University of Pennsylvania, which is now called PennWest California.
He played college baseball, and with that his favorite hobbies are hunting, fishing, and, of course, baseball.
When we asked him about travel he was very excited to tell us about how he wants to visit Montana to see the country life out there or Alaska. Going along with the Montana dream, Mr. McGonigle said that they actually have a trip planned next summer. Also, for his vacation it depends on where his son, who does motocross racing, is racing.
Mr. McGonigle’s favorite movie is “For Love of the Game.” Since we are on the topic of favorite things, his favorite songs are anything by HARDY, favorite color is green, and for his favorite emotion it would be chill. He said he likes to be laidback and easygoing. Last but not least, Mr. McGonigle’s favorite food is pizza.
His biggest pet peeve is people not listening the first time. When we asked him what his favorite quotation was he didn’t think twice before saying, “respect all, fear none.”
If he could give advice to the people reading this he would say, “Give everything 100%, otherwise you might not be happy with the outcome.”
