Graceful Grace

Kate Slocum, Mackenzie Ricketts, and Audrey Baker

Grace Allen was born on December 22, 2008. She grew up in Corry her whole life. Grace has an older brother, Will Allen, and two dogs. Her dogs’ names are Walter and Moose, but Moose is her favorite.

Grace spends a lot of time playing sports. She plays volleyball, track, and basketball. Her favorite of them all is volleyball.

In volleyball, her number is 14 and she plays outside hitter. In basketball, she is number 22 and plays point guard. In track, her events are triple jump, javelin, 100 meter, and 200 meter.

Other than sports, Grace enjoys tubing, jet skiing, Bible study, golfing, and hanging out with friends. Her favorite season is fall as she loves to watch the colors of the leaves change and the beauty it creates in nature. Grace’s favorite music artist to listen to is Mac Miller and Jack Johnson. One goal she has is to eventually learn how to play the guitar and to swim with sharks. In her future she hopes to get an opportunity to hike Europe.

If Grace had a piece of advice to give her readers it would be, “Stay true to you.” In her future she plans to go to college for engineering and hopefully have a lot more days of sleeping in.

Kate Slocum is a sophomore and this is her first year working Corry’s Beaver Tales student newspaper. When she’s not writing for newspaper, Kate enjoys shopping, sleeping, spending time with friends and family, and teaching her dog new tricks.

Mackenzie Ricketts, Reporter

Mackenzie Ricketts is a sophomore in high school. This is her second year in the newspaper class. When she’s not at school, Mackenzie enjoys dancing, soccer, track, shopping, sleeping, and spending time with her friends.

Audrey Baker, Reporter

Audrey Baker is a sophomore. This is her first year in the newspaper class. When Audrey’s not at school she enjoys dancing, reading, shopping, and relaxing.
