Season 1 of “Invincible” completely blew me away. I started watching, expecting just another superhero story, but it quickly became so much more. Mark Grayson’s journey into becoming a hero isn’t just about fighting bad guys– it’s raw, real, and messy. At first, it seems like he’s just following in his powerful dad’s footsteps, but as things unfold, you realize how much darker and more complicated everything is. The animation style is bright and colorful, almost like something from a Saturday morning cartoon, but the violence is so intense it leaves you shocked and glued to the screen, but also the gore that is involved can be intense.
What really hit me was Mark’s growth. He’s not just trying to figure out his powers-he’s dealing with family secrets, betrayal, and what it really means to be a hero. His relationship with Omni-Man, his dad, is the heart of the story, and I found myself questioning everything I thought I knew about superheroes. It’s not just a simple fight between good and evil– there’s so much more going on beneath the surface. Omni-Man is one of the most complex characters I’ve seen in a superhero show, and displays a superhero’s perspective that is never seen before, other than “The Boys,” and the way his actions completely changed how I viewed everything was mind-blowing.
Each episode kept me on the edge of my seat, and I couldn’t stop watching. The show blends heart-pounding action with emotional depth in a way that feels completely fresh. I loved how the series doesn’t shy away from showing the harsh reality of being a hero, and by the end of the season, I was completely hooked.
“Invincible” isn’t just another superhero story– it’s an emotional rollercoaster that keeps surprising you when you think you have it all figured out. If you’re looking for a superhero show that takes real risks and doesn’t hold back, this is it.
