For those of you unaware D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) used to not be as popular as it is now. In fact, in the ’70-’90s, it was considered a game for satanists to play, although this was just a stereotype. In the modern day D&D as become so much more and is widely considered one of the most popular ways to get into storytelling with your buddies.
In modern media like games, books, and even movies and shows like “Stranger Things” making D&D “cool” or… at least cooler than before, it has grown to be so much more. D&D used to be the game that nerds play. But now, with people having entire podcasts and YouTube or Twitch channels dedicated to it, D&D has turned into a lucrative business and something people around the world sit and enjoy, whether through watching or being inspired to play themselves.
D&D has now become a gateway for people to meet new friends or solidify old friendships. If you yourself have never played D&D, get a few friends together and play, even if you just go by a book and not your own story. It will develop into your own story collectively as a group, each person writing a little bit themselves.
