Ryley Glen Murphy was born on September 22, 2010, and grew up in Corry. He is currently an 8th grader who enjoys bike riding, video games, basketball and soccer when he’s not in school.

Ryley grew up an only child, having no siblings around him, but he made the best of it as he also spent a lot of time at his grandparents house growing up. Ryley is a person who puts a positive and fun twist on everything he does so he can always have a smile on his face everywhere he goes. Ryley is also an athlete for the soccer team and he used to play basketball and baseball as well.

When he grows up, Ryley wants to be a racecar driver because he wants “to be able to go fast,” as he puts it. His dream vacation would be in either Colorado or Utah where he would ski and enjoy the mountain views in a fancy log cabin. His favorite meal is either meatloaf or spaghetti and his favorite school subjects are math and history. However, Ryley is not a fan of people who smoke around him. When asked what his favorite movie was he said “Maze Runner” and his idea of a perfect date corresponded as he would go out and see a movie. Murphy considers himself to be chill and laid back like a sloth, as he compared himself to.

As the writer I personally grew up around Ryley and he always wanted to have a good time and wanted to do the right thing. Part of my responsibility was to look out for him and make sure I was a good influence. Ryley and I share some of the same relatives, so we would tend to see each other on Easter, Fourth of July, and Birthdays.

Finally, Ryley’s piece of advice to readers is just to be positive and always stay positive.
