This week, Mrs. Rutkowski’s baking and pastries class had a cake contest, where each class had a couple of groups of level 2 students bake cakes competitively.
The contest took three days giving students a day to plan for their cake, a day to bake their cake, and a day to decorate their cake. The rules for the contest were that you had to bake your own cake, it had to based on a book, and they had to present their cakes when they were done.
The winner were announced today. The top three out of nine cakes were: tied for third place were Chicka Chicka Boom Boom (Erica Fisher, Marcus Morvay, and Ellie Curtis) and Cars (Isabella Kellogg, Brenden Lindstrom, and Lucas Baker) second place was 101 Dalmatians (Alex Sventek, Ted Mickel, and Jesse Goldner), and in first place was If You Give a Mouse a Cookie (Madyson McKinsey, Venessa Ross, Nick Hodak, and Hailey Shaffer).
If You Give a Mouse a Cookie won the contest with flying colors with 55 votes out of 113 voters.
