‘Let it Snow’ for the first snowfall in Corry

Let+it+Snow+for+the+first+snowfall+in+Corry

As the first flake of snow hits the ground, Corry is hit with the realization that winter is coming! On Tuesday October 31st, while the trick or treaters were prowling the streets for sweets in their fun costumes, snow decided to pay a visit. Snow in Pennsylvania is not uncommon but when it comes on Halloween it causes some quarrel and concern in a small town.

Now that residents of Corry have had a couple of days to prepare for what’s coming, the town should be safe on the roads. Winter tires are an extremely important part of being prepared for a down cast of snow. Without the proper tires for winter it can create serious problems on the road and because it was unexpected for snow to come so early, even with forecasters, some people have not changed their tires to studded winter ones. As the coming weeks arrive, drivers should be more careful on the road as they may be slippery and slushy. Some of the most popular holidays are during the winter time and a lot of car crashes are caused because of the snow. With all that being said, it is very important to get the right tires and drive safely.

Even though this sudden hit of snowfall seems alarming, there are some positives. As the season of giving is coming upon this suburb town, residents shouldn’t be taken by surprise if they hear teenage girls listening to Mariah Carey down the road. Snow creates a big wistful feeling that the greatest time of the year is coming this way. In many families, the word snow is considered to be a swear word, but for others this means it’s time to put up the lights and mistletoe.

Snow is described as scary but for a great deal of people this symbolizes a romantic time of year. The upcoming events are filled with joy and singing that bring up the depressive glow that winter seems to bring within it. So while snow can be dangerous, it is also a sweet reminder that snow days are on the rise. Snowmen can be seen while driving down the road and families getting together sharing the pumpkin log through the Thanksgiving table. Corry residents should be careful and on the look out but also realize this is not frightening.

Corry will be at its most cheerful time of the year as the snow rises from inches to feet. Instead of wishing for it to go away, let it snow. The citizens will be prepared as they always are and express the delight of the season.
