Corry Trap Team impresses in season opener

Jacob White, Reporter

The Corry Trap Team is a team full of energetic trap-loving people who also love to win.

The trap team has been undefeated for the last 11 years, they go to states, nationals, and Illinois for competition. The team shows tons of sportsmanship when cheering on their teammates along with their competition.

Trap can be harder than you think it’s just as much of a physical game when raising your gun and swinging it where it needs to go, as well as a mind game thinking to not drop a bird and run a straight 25.

The trap team has kicked off the season wearing new shirts, they also had three of their shooters score amazingly. Jon Griffis, Tate Tasker, and Cole Nickerson each scored a perfect 25. In addition, Levi Merrill, Bryce Shelton, and Blake Mitchell showed up with their scores of 24. They had a 170-159 victory on Tuesday at Tidioute.  This seems to be an amazing start to their season and it only goes up from here.
