My top 10 prospects for the upcoming NFL draft

My top 10 prospects for the upcoming NFL draft
  1. Fernando Mendoza (QB, Indiana) – Mendoza threw for 3,535, 41 touchdowns, 72% completion rate last season. Mendoza also just won the Heisman award and led Indiana to a national championship. He’s an elite, pro-ready QB with accuracy, decision-making, and mobility. After these incredible accomplishments Mendoza is not only the best Quarterback in the draft but the best player.
  2. Arvell Reese (LB, Ohio State) – Last season Reese had 62 tackles, 6.5 sacks, and 9 tackles for loss. Reese was also named Big Ten Linebacker of the Year and All American. Reese is an explosive, versatile linebacker who can rush or play off-ball. With Reese being so versatile, being able to play edge and linebacker at such a high level is a big part of why I would say he’s the second best player in the draft.
  3. Jeremyiah Love (RB, Notre Dame) – Love rushed for 1,372 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns last season. Love was also named a Heisman finalist after his incredible season. Love is a very explosive running back with breakaway speed. Love is not only a top three prospect but also by far the best running back in this draft.
  4. Sonny styles (LB, Ohio State) – Styles last season put up 83 tackles, 1 forced fumble, and 1 sack. While also being named first team All-American. Styles is a big, fast linebacker with safety level coverage ability. Even with Styles draft stock being high before the NFL combine was huge for him as he had a very impressive showing there and it skyrocketed his draft stock into the top four for me.
  5. David Bailey (Edge, Texas Tech) – Last season Bailey put up 14.5 and 19.5 tackles for loss. Bailey was also named Consensus All-American. Bailey is a very strong edge rusher with consistent pressure ability. Bailey is an amazing edge rusher and in my opinion the best in the draft which is why I have him at number five.
  6. Caleb Downs (Safety, Ohio State) – Downs put up 68 tackles, 2 interceptions, and 2 forced fumbles last season. Downs was also named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and also being the Thorpe Award winner. Downs is named as an elite do it all defensive back with high football IQ. With Downs many incredible achievements is not only why I have him as the best defensive back in the draft but also the sixth best player in the whole draft.
  7. Carnell Tate (WR, Ohio State) – Even with Tate sharing targets with standout wide receiver Jerimiah Smith he still managed to put up 51 receptions for 875 yards and 9 touchdowns. Tate is the top and one of the most reliable wide receiver prospects in this draft with his strong route running and hands. So this is why I have Tate as not only the best receiver in the draft but the seventh best prospect too.
  8. Reuben Bain Jr. (Edge, Miami) – Bain last season put up 9.5 sacks, 15.5 tackles for loss, and 68 pressures. Bain was projected as a top three pick a couple months ago but his combine measurements have made him drop a bit as his arms turned out to be short but despite that Bain is still a powerful pass rusher with elite production. I still think Bain is a top ten prospect and even with the measurements I would still list him as the eighth best prospect.
  9. Masoor Delane (CB, LSU) – Delane last season had 45 tackles, 2 interceptions, and 11 pass breakups. Delane was also named a consensus All-American and allowed zero touchdowns. Delane is definitely an elite tier corner back with strong coverage skills and versatility. All of these strong attributes are reasons why I have him at number nine in my top ten.
  10. Francis Mauigoa (OT, Miami) – Last season Mauigoa allowed only 2 sacks and 10 pressures. Mauigoa was also named a Consensus All-American offensive lineman. With Mauigoa being a dominant tackle with elite size and strength and being able to protect the quarterback at a high level is why I think Mauigoa is the best offensive lineman in this draft and also the tenth best player overall.
