1. Shai GilGeous-Alexander
Shai was the MVP of the season last year and has continued to shine this year and looks to go back to back as he is number one on the MVP ladder as of right now and I agree with it. While also carrying the Thunder to one of the best records in the league and hopefully another championship run. He also remains one of the most complete, impactful two-way players in the league.
2. Nikola Jokic
Jokic continues to average a near triple double every game, which is insane because it’s so hard to do. But that is why Jokic is always top two in every MVP conversation and the second best player in the league.
3. Luka Doncic
Luka is another triple double and scoring machine, as these two things for any player will make you one of the best. While also being one of the hardest players to stop in the league and that is why I have him at number three.
4. Victor Wembanyama
Wembanyama is arguably the best rising star in the league and the leader for defensive player of the year. Not only this but has been a consistent scorer while also leading the spurs to being one of the best teams in the west.
5. Cade Cunningham
Cunningham has quickly turned around the outlook of the Pistons franchise as they were recently one of the worst teams in the league. But Cade has taken over this team and quickly turned them around into one of the best teams in the east while averaging a near double double of assists and points.
6. Donovan Mitchell
The Cavaliers have struggled offensively at times this year but Mitchell is always the guy that when he’s in the game can get you buckets at any time you need him to. Mitchell has also been consistently clutch while keeping Cavaliers in close games and a big reason that they are one of the best teams in the east.
7. Jaylen Brown
The Celtics were doubted this season after the injury of superstar Jayson Tatum. But Jaylen Brown has come in this season and is having the best season of his career to help the Celtics stay near the top of the East.
8. Anthony Edwards
Edwards is again having a great season and he’s averaging elite scoring among the league leaders, and producing breakout performances that put him among the NBA’s most dynamic offensive stars.
9. Jalen Brunson
Jalen Brunson has been performing at an elite all-around level as the Knicks’ primary leader and numbers that place him among the league’s most impactful guards—and he’s been ranked as high as number four on the MVP ladder this season due to his scoring, playmaking, and leadership on a top Eastern Conference team.
10. Tyreese Maxey
Tyrese Maxey has been one of the most productive and efficient two-way guards in the league, helping him rank among the NBA’s scoring leaders.
