A silent world filled only by the hum of machines…
An empty car drives down Pennsylvania Avenue, the factory nearby whirrs…
Then the empty car turns onto East Main Street and Televisions mumble from inside the otherwise silent houses. Two kids sit on a screened in porch playing games on their smartphones…
The empty car turns onto Summer Street and a train speeds by. Phones vibrate, tablets chime, watches glow, TVs mumble, and the monorail train wooshes overhead. Even with all that noise, the world still seems defeningly silent…
The empty car then turns onto Liberty Street and stops at house 588. A young girl walks out while scrolling on her phone, not even looking up as she gets in the car. Inside the house, two kids are playing on their tablets, the baby plays with a controller toy while the parents watch television. The posters on the walls of KPop Demon Hunters, Breaking Benjamin, Cocomelon, Minecraft, Roblox, and even some meme posters sit forgotten in the past…
The car starts up again and pulls away from house 588…
Without social interaction, the world feels dead… The world rotates in black and white, screens being the only colors left…
The future in paradise isn’t going to be paradise if screens take over…
