Wednesday night marked a special moment for the Corry wrestling program as the team honored its six seniors on Senior Night.
Before the match began, each senior was recognized for their dedication, perseverance, and contribution to the program over the years as some of these individuals have been wrestling since the ages of 3-5. These six seniors included: Ayden Beckerink, Braxton Hayes, Cooper Hodak, Marcus Meredith, Owen Nickerson, and Steven Willis.
Friends and family gathered to celebrate their journey through countless practices, tough matches, and memories that will last well beyond the season. The program proudly thanked its six seniors for everything they have accomplished and wished them continued success in the next chapter of their lives.
To end the night, the Beavers won the dual against the Titusville Rockets 53-15. This also marked their 4th consecutive region championship. Seniors Steven Willis, Marcus Meredith, and Owen Nickerson had matches while the other seniors had forfeits.
Overall, the team had a great season and is moving into the post season with the District team championship being January 31 at Sharon High School.
