The NFL regular season is a wrap and the last seeds are being finalized. We are going to do our own mock draft, looking at the best players to take for each team.
Fernando Mendoza
Mendoza is running away as the favorite for the first overall pick, especially after this Heisman campaign. Five touchdowns against Oregon is insane, and it shows that he is just what the Raiders need. Geno Smith was not the guy they needed after this past free agency and that showed last season, so they can find their real answer in this very promising quarterback (QB).
Arvell Reese
Reese is the top defensive prospect in this draft and the Jets could basically use anything. So we think their best option would be to just go with best available, which is Reese. Reese is also coming offĀ a dominant season at Ohio State where he primarily played line backer (LB). This could be a huge hit for the Jets and give them a true star.
Rueben Bain Jr.
The Cardinals have lots of holes in their team, primarily at interior offensive line (IOL), defensive line (DL, Edge), and corner (CB). There are no studded IOL in this draft, the best being projected to go around 20, and DL is a bigger need than corner on this team. I see the Cardinals going best available defensive player after Arvell Reese is off the board, and that is clearly Rueben Bain this year, especially after the championship run that he is bolstering.

Jordyn Tyson
The Titans offensive struggles were evident all year long as they had one of the worst offenses in football. They need to also get more weapons for last year’s number one pick QB Cam Ward. The perfect weapon would be wide receiver (WR) Jordyn Tyson out of Arizona State; he’s arguably the best WR in the draft and would be a perfect receiver to pair with Cam Ward and hopefully make the offense better.

Spencer Fano
After hiring top coach John Harbough it seems like the Giants have a chance to be a pretty good team next year. But, if any team wants to do that, they need to be able to protect their QB, and the Giants have struggled with that for years. Outisde of star tackle Andrew Thomas this offensive line doesn’t really have anyone. For the Giants to do what they need to, we have them taking tackle Spencer Fano out of Utah, as he could hopefully be one of the missing peices to the offensive line.

Carnell Tate
The Browns go into this draft with two first round picks and they very much need to target offense as they were a bottom five offense last year. This offense needs more weapons and offensive line help as well. But we think with this pick they should go and take WR Carnell Tate out of Ohio State. He could be a big missing piece of the offense and pair along Jerry Jeudy, who struggled last year but has potential.

Caleb Downs
The Commanders were one of the most dissapointing teams in the league this year, especially after making the NFC championship last season. Part of it was definitely star QB Jayden Daniels being out for a majority of the season but a lot was definitely on the defense. A lot of their problems on defense came from the secondary, and the perfect guy to help out the struggling secondary is stud safety Caleb Downs, especially after the insane season he had for Ohio State.

Jeremiyah Love
The Saints struggled running the ball all season as Alvin Kamara is out of his prime and is constantly struggling with injuries. We think they should take the best running back (RB) in this draft in Jeremiyah Love out of Notre Dame and get a potential franchise RB.

Francis Mauigoa
The chiefs had a clear down year this year and are looking for a quick bounce back. One thing that you can pinpoint is their OL, especially after moving lots of guys around this past offseason. This team would love some youth there to protect Patrick Mahomes, and this huge tackle can do exactly that.

David Bailey
The Bengals have had one of the worst denfenses in the league for the past couple years and they really need to look to improve it if they want. So we have them taking edge David Bailey out of Texas Tech. Bailey could be a perfect piece to pair alongside Trey Hendrickson who is by far their best player on defense. This duo could end up being a problem for years to come.

Mansoor Delane
Mansoor Delane is an amazing prospect at corner and is a perfect scheme fit for what this dolphins team wants to do. Outside of quarterback, their only real hole is this secondary. Capitalizing on a pick like this is huge for a team that has the potential to compete.

Peter Woods
The Cowboys fell short again last year not making the playoffs but this past season was on the defense as they struggled all season when there offense was putting up top numbers. A perfect player to add to this defense would be defensive lineman Peter Woods out of Clemson. Woods has great athleticism for his size and could help them out a lot in stopping the run and getting to the other teams quarterbacks.

Sonny Styles
The Rams have a huge pick here from Atlanta, adding a potential stud to what was already an amazing season. The pairing of Sonny Styles and Arvell Reese wreaked havoc for teams opposing Ohio State, and now Styles can lead this formerly weak LB core to potentially a championship in one of Stafford’s final years.

Makai Lemon
The Ravens are really just a few moves away from being a true competitor again. One piece that could help them get there would be getting a new star receiver to pair with Zay Flowers, in Makai Lemon out of USC who is a top WR prospect in this draft. Drafting Lemon could help make this offense even better and hopefully help make them a true contender again.

Keldric FaulkĀ
This Buccaneers team has the potential to compete for a Super Bowl, seriously. Their offense is stacked from front to back, and their secondary was amazing all year. One major problem was the pressure they had on the quarterback. Edge rusher Keldric Faulk can contribute instantly to this pass rush, making a perfect pair with Vita Vea and Yaya Diaby.

Ty Simpson
The Jets have struggled to find a franchise Qb for a long time, and after Donte Moore decided to stay in college definitely made this draft more interesting for them. But the next available would be Ty Simpson out of Alabama. Simpson could hopefully be the Qb this franchise and fans have been waiting for.

Jermod McCoy
This Lions team took a huge jump down from last year after moving on from a few very important players, and their secondary being hurt way too much. They can fix this by adding an immediate contributor and a way to assist in their depth with Jermod McCoy, another impressive prospect at corner.

Olaivavega Ioane
This team really has very few holes, primarily at QB, but with no star available and JJ McCarthy still being young, the Vikings should capitalize on their next biggest need: IOL. Their two guards barely played all season, both posing very bad grades on pff. And, their center didn’t play enough to receive a grade at all. Ioane can potentially be the best player on this line instantly.

Kenyon Sadiq
This very young Panthers team has some insane growth potential, all they need is a true weapon at tight end (TE) to help Bryce Young as the Panthers wait for their 3 young receivers to develop. Kenyon Sadiq is an easy replacement for Tommy tremble and the Panthers can hope he contributes in all the ways a tight end should. Unfortunately, TE is always a unique position and is very hard to look at, so it will be hard to truly know how good he is.

Avieon Terrell
This would be another pick to help out the Cowboys defense as they need a lot of help. Terrell, cornerback out of Clemson, could help them out in a big way as their secondary struggled immensely last year. But hopefully Terrell could come in and be the lockdown corner they need to help this defense.

Denzel Boston
With no quarterback available, and Tomlin gone, the Steelers are in a very interesting position with what they can do with this pick. We see the Steelers finally grabbing a true receiver 2, which they never truly did with George Pickens. Tomlin being gone means this Steelers team can finally transition into a more modern NFL offense, something they can only do with a serviceable rookie to take the position of Calvin Austin.

Kadyn Procter
The Chargers had one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL this year as they had many struggles and it did not help out Qb Justin Herbert at all as he was the second most sacked Qb in the league. The Chargers made the playoffs, but it was clear in the first round that if they want to win the offensive line needs to be better. So a player that would make sense and help them out a lot in that aspect is tackle Kadyn Procter out of Alabama.

Colton Hood
Colton Hood is a truly unique prospect at corner, only being 5’11” but playing like the biggest corner in the draft. The Eagles could go offensive line to replace Johnson or Steen, but I think it is more reasonable for them to do that in the second by waiting for Emmanual Pregnon. Hood is versatile and really fits that corner/safety position to round out the Eagles stifling defense.

Caleb Lomu
A lot of the Browns struggles last year was on the offensive line as they couldn’t create much for the passing or running game. It’s pretty clear that they need to select someone early to help beef up the offensive line and we thought the best player for them to take would be Caleb Lomu out of Utah.

Cashius Howell
The Bears were a surprising team this year, truly becoming a competitor very quickly in the Caleb Williams era. One problem that the Bears did consistantly have was in the trenches, somebody on the line to contribute other than Montez sweat. Cashius Howell is an underrated prospect in this class and I can really expect him helping this pass rush similar to how Chop Robinson of the Dolphins does.

KC Concepcion
The Bills are a very good football team, but ever since Stefon Diggs left they have struggled to find a true receiver. But this draft is a chance for them to get one in KC Concepcion out of Texas A&M. Concepcion could hopefully be this number one receiver they have been looking for and help elevate this Bills offense even more.

Caleb Banks
The 49ers face constant injuries everywhere all the time, but nothing hurts more than your DPOY defensive end missing 2 ACLs. Nick Bosa needs a lightened load, and the 49ers can hope to do that by drafting a highly-touted interior guy here in Banks.

Kayden McDonald
The Texans clearly had the best defense in football this year as it was clear in their playoff win over the Steelers when they only let up 6 total points. But why not stack up the defense even more and take Kayden McDonald Deffensive tackle out of Ohio State? He would also come in and start right away for this amazing defense as their defensive tackles are the only thing on this defense that might be considered not above average.

Monroe Freeling
Again, with no quarterback truly available to back up Stafford in case of retirement, the Rams have two options: corner or tackle. In this immensely deep defensive draft, the Rams should capitalize quick on taking line in this 6’7″ 315 .lbs tackle. This guy is huge and can absolutely protect Matthew Stafford consistently.

Emmanuel Pregnon
The Patriots look like a top team again as they secured the number two seed this year in the AFC. This team doesn’t have many holes, but one area they could use some help in is the offensive line and guard Emmanuel Pregnon out of Oregon would do just that as he would be very helpful in the passing and running game.

Elijah Sarratt
The Broncos are an impressive team, their defense absolutely being one of the best in the league, and truly being championship contenders. However, the offense is super inconsistent. This can fall on the fact that they only have one real weapon in Courtland Sutton, which teams can easily gameplan for. The Broncos can get a great pick here in Sarratt to get Bo Nix some help.

T.J. ParkerĀ
The Seahawks were arguably the best team in the NFL this year and were the number one seed in the NFC this year. This is another team that doesn’t really have any holes, so at this pick we think they would just go with best available in being T.J. Parker out of Clemson. Parker would help elevate this outstanding defense even more and be a great pair up with DeMarcus Lawrence.
