The Corry Volleyball team has won their past two district games on Oct. 23 and Oct. 28. Corry won both games in three quick sets.
On Oct. 23 against Hickory together the team had 34 kills, 42 digs, and 9 aces. Against Fairview on Oct. 28 they had a total of 39 kills, 49 digs, and 8 aces.
The Corry Volleyball team will be playing a long-time rival, Cathedral Prep tonight (Oct. 30), at Fort LeBeouf High School. The winner of tonight’s game will be the District 10 Champion, and both teams will advance to the state playoffs. Corry played Cathedral Prep in the D-10 championship last year and beat them in 5 sets, so the team is looking for a sweep tonight!
Tomorrow on Halloween (Oct. 31), the Corry Football team will be facing Fort LeBeouf at the Veterans Memorial Stadium in Erie, Pennsylvania. If Corry wins tomorrow night, they will most likely face the Hickory Hornets in the District semi-finals. Good luck to the Corry Volleyball and Football team as they continue through playoffs.
