Two weeks ago, auditions were held here at Corry High School for the show “You ‘re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.”

Later in the evening, the cast list was posted on Google Classroom with Charlie Brown played by Landon Hasbrouck, Snoopy played by Angelica Cressley, Lucy Van Pelt played by Ava Weatherbee, Schroeder played by Luke Hurd, Linus Van Pelt played by Joseph Johnston, and Sally Brown played by this reporter.

The cast also includes Ava Whiteley, Ellie Simmons, Mercedes Cubero, Noah West, Emily Freeland, Joseph Konderlik, Cooper Hodak, McKenna Music, Alana Sacchetti, Lexi Burch, Charly Amburgy, and Emily Jones as ensemble.

For those who are unaware of the story of this show, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” is about the average day in the life of the classic comic strip character that we all know and love, Charlie Brown. It shows how Charlie goes about his day, feeling sorry for himself and depressed while all of his friends make fun of him and tease him. With an up-beat, jazzy musical score with great pieces like “Beethoven Day,” “The Book Report,” “Suppertime,” and “My New Philosophy,” “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” is a fantastic show for all ages!
