Golden State Warriors complete 20 point comeback against the Brooklyn Nets

Last week the Golden State Warriors had a remarkable comeback, overcoming a 22-point deficit to defeat the Brooklyn Nets 121-119. Stephen Curry led the charge with a great performance, scoring 40 points, including seven 3-pointers, and delivering clutch plays in the final minutes.

The Warriors never gave up as they outscored the Nets 106-84 over the final three quarters. Curry’s pivotal corner 3-pointer towards the end of the 4th quarter gave the Warriors a 119-109 lead with 61 seconds remaining. Despite a late surge from the Nets, including a 34-foot 3-pointer by Cam Thomas, Curry’s key free throws secured the win.

Jimmy Butler III contributed with 25 points and six assists, while Gary Payton II added a season-high 16 points off the bench. Draymond Green facilitated the offense with 10 assists. For the Nets, Cameron Johnson led with 26 points, and Cam Thomas added 23 points and seven assists. This loss marked the Nets’ sixth consecutive defeat.

This victory concluded a successful five-game road trip for the Warriors, during which Curry averaged 34.8 points and 7.8 assists per game. The team’s ability to overcome significant deficits, including this 22-point comeback, highlights their resilience and determination to keep climbing up the western conference.
