“The Song of Achilles” is a book written by Madeline Miller. It’s retelling the story of the Trojan War, and it’s in the perspective of Patroclus. This novel follows Patroclus and Achilles relationship, from them first meeting, to focusing on their romantic relationship.
I would give this book a solid 4/5 because I absolutely love the way it was written. I love how it goes into detail about how Patroclus feels.. It was told from his point of view, and we get to see how he thinks everyone felt about certain things that happened.
The ending of the book was sad, and I will be honest: I did cry. I won’t spoil it of course, but I would definitely recommend this book! Another thing I like about this book is, even if you don’t really know the Greek Gods and Goddesses, the author includes all of their names and what they represent. I love that she did that because it’s hard to remember what each God/Goddess represents. I would definitely say this is my new favorite book.
If you are looking for a book that has romance, happy moments but also sad moments, and you like Greek Mythology, then you would absolutely love this book.
