Over the summer I went on a trip of a lifetime to the Grand Canyon. Before we arrived we drove up to the airport and got there about an hour and a half early. The parking was terrible. It took us 15 minutes to find a parking spot that day. While we were on the plane we got to our seats and then we took off. This was my first time ever flying on a plane and I was very excited to see what it was like. I really liked the ride. It was really fun to look out of the window and see the top of the clouds.

When we got there we checked into the hotel and got some sleep. We needed to be rested for the days up ahead. The next day we got up and got prepared for the hot weather. When we got to the Grand Canyon it was an astonishing view. Once I saw this, I was amazed at what I was looking at. We walked around for a while. While my family and I were walking around staring at the view before us we saw several different animals. Some of these animals were birds, mountain goats, lizards, and etc.. We were there for a few days experiencing all the sights and popular tourist attractions. Before I knew it, it was time to go home.

The day where my family and I were going to come home, the flight was scheduled for 10:30 p.m. This ended up not being the case because it got delayed until 6 in the morning. This was not good because I ended up not getting any sleep until I was on the plane. When we got back we got in the car and drove home. Once I got home the first thing I did was sleep. It had to be some of the best sleep I have gotten in a long time. This trip was one of my favorite memories I have and I really recommend going if you have the chance.
