“The Wild Robot” is Dreamworks’ latest movie released in September of this year that is based on a book written by Peter Brown. It is about a futuristic robot whose purpose is to complete all tasks they are assigned, and has crashed onto an island and has to adapt to the aggressive lifestyle of being in the wild. This is a beautiful movie with many realistic themes, a good cast, and an amazing soundtrack.
This is one of the best-looking movies I have ever seen. While watching this movie, I did not find anything wrong with it except for that it could be a little cliché at points, but not enough to be annoying or bad. Everyone in the cast, featuring popular actors such as Mark Hamill, Pedro Pascal, and many others, were fantastic, and they all captured their characters and their emotions perfectly.
The movie was directed by Chris Sanders, who was also a director of the “How To Train Your Dragon” movies, so I had high hopes coming into it, and it did not disappoint. I had never heard of the book before I watched this, and I was still able to understand the story and connect with every character in the movie.
With a PG rating, this movie is directed towards kids, but can be enjoyed by any age because of the range from cute animals and comedy to the themes that adults would better see and understand. This is one of the greatest movies I have seen in a long time, and is in my top five Dreamworks movies.
“The Wild Robot” is a must-see movie, especially if you like stories about family and friends. I give this movie an easy 5/5 stars.
