During the summer of 2022, I went to New York City. I went with a group of people from this program called Upward Bound. We did a lot of different things there like going to the wax museum, seeing the Empire State Building, and going to Time Square. There was one thing that I really enjoyed, and will always remember. That was going to see the musical Wicked on Broadway. 

Growing up I loved watching musicals, and Wicked was always one of my favorites. I love the music in it so much, I would listen to it all the time. Getting to see the musical in person, and on Broadway, was a dream come true. When I was little I would beg to be able to go see any musical on Broadway at least one time in my life. When they told us that we were going to go watch a musical on Broadway, I was so excited. 

It was absolutely amazing. The actors did such an incredible job, the singing was beautiful, and you could definitely tell they put a lot of effort into the entire performance. The props and the backdrops had so much detail. The costumes were incredible, everyone looked so good. You could tell they put a lot of effort into every single costume. I would say that if you ever get the chance to go see a musical on Broadway, I definitely recommend you going to see Wicked.
