In July, I got to go to New York City twice. I was staying at the Poconos for nationals for dance. My siblings and I had always wanted to go to New York City. The train station that went to New York City was only about an hour and a half away, so we knew we had to take the opportunity. We ended up going July 20 and July 22. It was a lot of fun.

Both times we went we decided to visit the 9/11 Memorial and the Westfield World Trade Center Mall. I love shopping, so that mall is perfect for me. My favorite part of both the trips combined was going to the M&M store. We got lots of M&Ms and I got a blanket. I also really enjoyed taking pictures and shopping everywhere. My least favorite part was at the end of both days when my feet hurt so bad.

For lunch, we had Raising Cane’s both times because it’s one of our favorites. I spent both times looking for Korean corn dogs, but I had zero luck and I was really upset about that. I hope if I get to go again I can find them. It was also not fun riding a bunch of subways to get around. They were always just so crowded and gross.

Overall, it was a lot of fun, but if I were to go again I would bring comfier shoes. I would also try to figure out where the Korean corn dogs are at before I went. I would rate my overall experience 8/10.
