On Monday, June 3, the senior class attended their Senior Picnic. A tradition Corry has held for many years, the graduating class gets treated with a field trip where they get one more day to have fun with their classmates.
This year the picnic was at the Peak n Peek in Clymer, NY. The seniors had to be at the high school around 8:15 for attendance and then loaded onto buses around 8:40.
There were many options that students were given to pick from. They got the choice to swim when they first got there, or after lunch. There were also mini golf and yard games, such as spike ball and corn hole. The yard games were set up so that everyone could play them whenever they wanted. Besides having to swim at the time the students picked, there were no hard set rules for them to follow, as long as one of the chaperoning teachers knew where they were.
The students were provided with lunch around 11:30. There was a wide variety of burgers, hot dogs, pasta salad, chips and cupcakes for the students to choose from. After the picnic, everyone arrived back at the school around 2:30 where seniors were allowed to return to their cars and leave their final day of high school.
The 2025 seniors will be attending their Senior Picnic next June, which is just one of the many things they have to look forward to as they end their junior year and officially become seniors.
