A couple weeks ago, Rylan Smith and Markus Lambert got selected to the first team D10 Region 6 All-Star Team. The way to get selected is the coaches conducted a poll of who should be on the team. It is an honor for both of them. I got to interview them this week to see how they felt about it and what it meant to them.
Smith said he was very happy to be selected to the first team all region for the second time. He said it meant a lot to him and it was something to tell his kids when he is older. He also said it is something cool to brag about.
Lambert said it means a lot to him and it’s cool to have his name with those people. He said he’s always looked up at those guys and admired how good they are. Lambert also said its humbling and it reflects the work he put in all the years he’s played.
